Sarti
Sarti is situated on the eastern side of the peninsula of Sithonia in CHALKIDIKI, surrounded by the blue sea of the Aegean Sea and the lush mountain Dragoynteli. An ideal destination for holidays with many traditional tavernas and nightlife, historical monuments and hospitable inhabitants. In Sarti you will enjoy Lacy shores, sandy beaches and little coves. Nature endowed with lush vegetation and pleasant variations in the landscape and the people who inhabited respected it. Porto Koufo
Porto koufo is the largest and safest natural harbor in Greece. Named “Kofos port” mentions by Thucydides. Its dimensions are: maximum length of 1,600 m, maximum width of 550 m, maximum depth 8-23 m., 300 m. inlet, input 10-depth 33 m and 5.5-27 m On rocky and rugged coastline open up caves, in one of which, in to SE side of the entrance, the visitor can enter by boat. Another interesting cave is located in SE side of the Harbor, at the top of the intersection of the old quarry. Her visit is almost impossible today, because of section created by quarrying. This cave must have been a place of worship in the Roman era. Later, to purify the area, Christians drew red characteristic crosses on the roof of the cave. In Porto Koufo there are German forts located in typical Hill, left as we enter by boat. The remains of the fortifications built by the Germans during World War II, as well as underground halls and plateau, on which stood the onshore artillery. Platanitsi
Sandy beach with wonderful turquoise waters and camping, Platanitsi spreads over an area with dense vegetation, in the eastern part of the peninsula of Sithonia. Within walking distance lie Kavourotrypes, exotic beaches in the area with marvellous natural bas-relief. Platanitsi and Kavourotrypes refrain 73.5 and 72 km respectively from Polygyros.
Kalamitsi
The scenic coastline of Kalamitsi with pristine clear waters and Golden Sands and the isle, rightly considered one of the hidden gems of Greece. The beach is organized with deckchairs in several places along. In kalamitsi will find restaurants, cafeterias and grocery stores. The characteristic hills of the area covered by oak, thyme and oregano, fill colourful flowers during the time stimulating the senses with fragrances and color. The serene landscape that is characteristic of this place makes your stay to be a journey full of satisfaction and a unique experience. In small distances from the Kalamitsi you will find many sandy beaches or bays. In the area are Marmaras, the harbour of Porto Koufo, Sykia, Sarti at short distances from the complex, on a night out. Kavouritripes
Passing the intersection of Vourvourou continuing 5 km before Sarti will probably come across one of the most dreamed beaches of Halkidiki , Kavourotripes . As the landscape has nothing to envy to exotic destinations. We see the white small sand beaches encircling by rocks and penetrate in turquoise crystal clear waters of Sithonia, while green accents embellish the tropical setting. The famous beach of Sithonia, Kavourotripes is well hidden behind a pine forest. On the eastern side of the peninsula, about 20 km. from the village of Vourvourou and 5 km. after the camping of Armenisti, the asphalt rode crosses a dense pine forest. Sign for the beach there is not, but with little attention you will discover distinguishing parked cars among the pines. You will need o descend on foot from the woods on the famous coast, but the picture will reward you.
The peninsula of Athos is the easternmost and roughest of the three individual parallel peninsulas (Cassandra or Pallini, Logkoy or Sithonia-Central, and Athos or Agion Oros) that make up the peninsula of CHALKIDIKI. The peninsula is covered by Mount Athos, which culminates in a marble pyramid height 2033m., hence its name. It concludes in Cape Nymphaion or Akrothoon. It lacks rivers and lakes. Linked Halkidiki with the narrow isthmus of Xerxes, low strip of land, with a length of 2 km, a history of the Persian wars in 480 BC. Between the peninsula of Sithonia and Athos or Logkoy formed the Siggitikos or Mount Athos Gulf, while BA Bay of Ierissos. A few miles SE of Mount Athos is the largest Gulf of the Aegean Sea from the 80 m depth, abruptly reaches 1070m.

The owners of the hotel are some of the nicest people we have ever met, you feel like you are part of the family. It is very clean and tidy, location is amazing, hand made pastry was incredible, definetely will go back again and again… A must experience..
Honestly , Athos Thea exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with everything and would recommend it to everyone. Location is very good, close to the beach. The room, the cleanliness, the attitude of the owners – everything was just purfect.
